French Immersion
Elementary FI starts in Grade One. The Grade One FI program is held at Prince Charles Public School. Students from the Prince Charles Grade One FI program begin Grade Two at Mazo de la Roche Public School. Learn more about the French Immersion program.
History
Mazo de la Roche P.S. is a French immersion school for grade 2 to 8 students. It is named after Mazo de la Roche, one of the most successful French Canadian authors of the twentieth century. In 1927, she won the Atlantic Monthly prize for literature and thus brought Canadian literature into the limelight. Mazo died in 1961.
Facilities
Mazo de la Roche P.S. was officially opened in 1990. A child-care centre, Mazo Jr. Y, owned and operated by Y.M.C.A. of Greater Toronto, is located at Mazo de la Roche P.S.
